The Tucker family purchased Ticehurst Motors in June 1976. There was no doubt that the purchase of Ticehurst Motors was going to be a major challenge due to its rural location. It was a far cry from the large and busy garage on the south coast, which they had helped to develop into a very successful Bodyshop and mechanical repair centre specialising in Jaguar, Aston Martin, and American high performance engines.
With their knowledge of motor vehicles and dedication to customer service, it was clear that Ticehurst Motors would soon become a dominant sales and service centre under the guidance of the Tucker family. These days, its a third generation family business that encompasses all the latest equipment and modernisations that keep Ticehurst Motors one of the top car garages to visit in East Sussex.
