Information About The Volkswagen Tiguan

Volkswagen Tiguan Mark 2 (2016 to PRESENT)

The current mark 2 Volkswagen Tiguan went on sale in 2016. Since then, it’s been a big success for Volkswagen. A midsize premium SUV packed with the latest technology, it is one of the most stylish models available on the market. Plus, it’s as classy as ever. Its technology varies across the range, but some features come as standard, such as the 8-inch colour touch screen (which is easy to use and works effortlessly) and emergency city braking. In higher specification models such as the SEL, LED front and rear lights, heated front seats, and an upgraded info-tainment system with sat nav and virtual cockpit (digital dashboard) has been introduced. This model has a 615 litre boot and plenty of rear space only making it more appealing for families.

2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive 4motion models are available in both manual and automatic DSG variants have been released in the UK market. The 4X4 4Motion automatic DSG are the most popular models with our customers, and the diesel TDI models use an ADBLUE system that reduces exhaust emissions. The petrol TSI models are also available through us; however, we do have a waiting list for these models so please contact our sales team to register your interest.

Volkswagen Tiguan Mark 1 Facelift (2011 to 2016)

The Volkswagen Tiguan Mark 1’s facelift model is based on the Golf platform and shares much of the tried and tested technology that Volkswagen has refined over the years. It’s a perfect all-rounder, with the added bonus of being a reliable 4X4. The Tiguan has comfortable seats, with a sporty and supportive crossover interior that our customers look for when considering this model. Tall adults have generous headroom, shoulder room and legroom, with an excellent driving position adaptable for all heights. The interior is spacious, with the rear-seats able to slide forward, and there are many storage areas that create extra room. The finish is impeccable and the Tiguan is a joy to drive, with little wind noise on the motorway and a well isolated cabin that all but silences road and engine noises.

On the 4X4 4motion models, the all-wheel drive is permanently engaged, meaning the system is always on hand to help you when the traction is not optimal or when there are poor weather conditions. This generation of Tiguan also has an optional extra called parallel park assist, which uses the surrounding parking sensors to align the Tiguan’s position either through parallel or perpendicular parking positions. This helps park the vehicle in tight parking spaces and removes the difficulties encountered when parking a large vehicle. Overall, the Tiguan is a very versatile and popular SUV
